Oak grove marina features wet, lift, and boatel slips
Which slip option best fits your boating needs depends on how you like to use your boat. Below is a brief description of each type of slip.
WET SLIPS
Wet slips are extremely convenient. The boat is kept in the water for the boating season. Boaters can enjoy entertaining on their boat in the slip or go for a leisurely ride on the South River. Oak Grove Marina has wet slips to accommodate boats from 18ft up to 63ft. Boats kept in wet slips must have the bottom painted. Wet slip fees are based on the slip location as well as the size of the boat. Oak Grove’s staff will be happy to provide you with a quote for your boat.
LIFT SLIPS
Lift slips have become the most popular way to store your boat. Lift slips provide the protection and cost savings of the boatel while allowing for all the convenience of a wet slip. With a lift slip, you do not have to paint the bottom and your winter storage is built-in right on the lift. Oak Grove Marina has over 50 lift slips that can accommodate boats from 16 to 45 feet. Lift slips are priced according to the weight they can handle. We currently have 10,000-pound lifts (up to a 22ft boat), 15,000-pound lifts, and 20,000-pound lifts.
BOATEL
“Hotels for boats” is one of the most convenient ways to enjoy your boat. Your boat is stored in a rack system and the boat is launched upon your request. In a boatel there is no need to paint the bottom and your winter storage is included in your annual boatel price.
Boatels operate according to the launching hours provided by the marina. It is important to look for a marina with hours reasonable to the season and open seven days per week.
Oak Grove Marina’s boatel is open seven days per week, weather permitting, and operates under the longest hours on the South River. Boatel storage is limited by the length and height of the boat. Generally, Oak Grove Marina’s boatel can handle a boat up to 27 feet.
